Reflecting on the subtle ways forms, thoughts, or presences meet without announcement. Layers sit close, almost imperceptibly crossing into one another, their edges softened rather than erased. There is no clear point of exchange, only a gradual blending, where one begins before the other has fully ended. Tones and textures drift across boundaries, suggesting a shared rhythm rather than a collision. The painting lingers in this understated convergence, where overlap is not imposed but allowed - something that happens slowly, quietly, and without the need to be resolved.
Employing scraps of cardboard and newsprint as a base layer, and gradually built up with gesso, sand and layers of acrylic and household emulsion paints and finally some light layers of oil paint. The black border brings an element of order and structure to a chaotic and vibrant composition.
