This site was set up primarily as a showcase for my work, rather than a functioning ecommerce site. However, buying art directly is not a problem and the FAQs below should cover anything you may need to know. Payment
All major credit and debit cards are accepted through PayPal. It’s free, there are no transaction fees & you don’t need a PayPal account. Old fashioned cash is also acceptable if you are nearby and planning to pick up in person.

Buying art online can be a hit and miss affair. On screen colours don’t always do the real thing justice and sometimes can look even better than the real thing! With this in mind, all my work is photographed in neutral daylight conditions and colour corrected to be as close a representation of the original as possible.
There is always the possibility, however, that the piece you bought isn’t exactly what you expected. I want you to be 100% happy with your new artwork so I offer a 7 day cooling off period. On receipt of your artwork you will have 7 days to be sure you are 100% happy with your purchase and if not you’ll get your money back. Can’t say fairer than that. It hasn’t happened yet and I don’t envisage it happening any time soon, but if you are not completely happy with your purchase simply notify me by email within 7 working days of receiving your delivery that you intend to return the artwork.
The artwork must be returned immediately in its original packaging, if possible, or similar quality packaging & be received within 14 working days of receipt of original delivery to you. In the event of a return, you must pay for delivery both ways.
Returned artwork which is damaged or not in its original condition will not be refunded.
Once the artwork is safely received you will receive a full refund less delivery charges (both ways).

Damaged Goods
If a damaged artwork has been delivered to you, email me within 24 hours of receipt.
In order to process an insurance claim you must email a good quality photo of the damaged artwork, your order number & any other relevant information
Please keep all original packing materials.
When the artwork has been returned I will refund the full cost of the artwork & the cost of delivery to you.

Shipping
EU/UK
On receipt of payment, artwork is securely packaged and normally shipped within 1-2 days, but if for some reason it is going to take longer you will be notified. You will receive a tracking number so that you can follow the progress of your package in transit. 
International Shipping
Artwork can be shipped worldwide, although artwork shipped outside the EU may be subject to import duties & taxes. Please contact the customs office in the country of destination for more information about any applicable duties & taxes.
Personal pick up / delivery
If you are in Dublin personal pick-up or delivery options are also possible. Just email jamesrooneyartist@gmail.com to arrange. 

On selected pieces, I am open to reasonable offers. Remember, a work of art is original and one of a kind. Time, talent & experience have gone into creating an artwork which you have connected with. Your interest in an artwork should be reflected in a fair offer.
