This striking contemporary piece consists of nine individual 150mm x 150mm abstract paintings, arranged in a precise grid on a clean, white backing board. The individual squares feature completely unrelated content, forming a vibrant patchwork of independent expressions, textures, and chaotic visual narratives.
They are brought into harmony by a singular, overarching geometric element - a crisp, white outlined circle overlaid across the entire grid. Centred perfectly on the middle piece, its circumference sweeps across the composition, falling just short of the outer edges. This sweeping line acts as a literal and conceptual portal, intersecting the disparate abstracts and binding them together. Nexus captures the tension between chaos and order, illustrating how entirely separate entities can find connection and common ground when unified by a single, shared framework.
